How much does a small business website cost in Singapore?

A small business website in Singapore can cost from under SGD 1,000 to over SGD 10,000. See what drives the price and which option fits your business.

A small business website in Singapore typically costs between about SGD 1,500 and SGD 6,000 from a freelancer or small studio, and more from a larger agency. Simple one-page sites can cost less, and fully custom sites with special features cost much more. The right price depends on how many pages you need, how custom the design is and what the site must do.

The short answer

Option Typical cost (SGD) Best for
DIY website builder A monthly subscription, plus your time Very small budgets and simple needs
Freelancer Roughly 800 to 4,000 Simple sites where you can check quality yourself
Small studio or agency Roughly 3,000 to 10,000 Multi-page sites with custom design and SEO basics
Custom build 5,000 and up, often much more Booking systems, memberships, special features

Published pricing guides for Singapore quote ranges like these in 2026. They differ widely and are not independently verified, so use them as a rough guide and compare written quotes.

What you are paying for

  • Design. A layout that fits your brand, works on phones and is easy to use.
  • Pages and content. More pages mean more work. Writing text and preparing photos can add cost.
  • Functionality. Contact forms, WhatsApp buttons, booking, payments and product pages each add effort.
  • SEO basics. Page titles, descriptions, headings, speed and a sitemap so Google can understand your site.
  • Setup. Domain, hosting, email, analytics and launch.
  • Support. Updates, fixes and small edits after launch.

Ongoing costs people forget

  • Domain name: guides commonly quote around SGD 10 to 50 a year.
  • Hosting: from a few dollars a month for shared hosting to much more for managed hosting.
  • Maintenance and edits: either a monthly plan, per-edit fees or doing it yourself.
  • Content: new photos, blog posts and offers over time.

What a small business actually needs

Most small businesses need less than they think. Start with the smallest option that does the job:

  1. One-page landing page. Who you are, what you do, prices or packages, photos, reviews, contact and WhatsApp button. Enough for many service businesses and home-based sellers.
  2. A site of up to five pages. Home, services, about, contact and one extra such as pricing or portfolio. Good for clinics, tutors, contractors and shops.
  3. An online store. Product pages, checkout and order emails. Worth it once you want customers to buy without messaging you.

How to compare quotes fairly

Ask every provider the same questions and get the answers in writing:

  1. How many pages and which features are included?
  2. Is the site mobile-friendly and what is the delivery date?
  3. Who owns the website, domain and content when it is finished?
  4. What does it cost to make changes after launch?
  5. Is basic SEO included, and what exactly does that mean?
  6. How many rounds of changes are included?
  7. Are domain, hosting and GST included or extra?

Watch out for

  • A very low price with a monthly "rental" that you can never leave with your site
  • No clear owner of the domain and content
  • Promises of "page one on Google" with a website purchase
  • A site that looks fine on a computer but not on a phone

Frequently asked questions

Can I build a website myself for less?

Yes. Website builders let you build a simple site yourself for the cost of a subscription and your time. The trade-off is time, design quality and getting the basics right for Google and mobile.

What ongoing costs should I expect?

At minimum, a domain name each year and hosting. Some providers also charge for maintenance, updates and edits. Ask for these costs in writing.

Do I need an online store?

Only if you want to take payments and manage orders on your own site. If you sell through WhatsApp, Instagram or marketplaces, a simple site with a WhatsApp button may be enough to start.
